We welcomed a very special visitor at the Museum this past Friday (September 20th). Arjun Van Der Dussen from Amsterdam of the Netherlands was traveling with a group of other bicyclists from other countries on a journey beginning in Pueblo, Colorado. They were on their way to their final destination for this summer in St. Louis, Missouri. They group had spent the night before in Cassidy, and as they approached Eureka, Arjun noticed the sign about the museum and shared that he likes to check out places like this where he can learn more about the area, and what drew the early settlers here.

The first part of their trek began last summer in San Francisco, CA and ended in Pueblo, CO. Next summer they will complete the third segment of their journey, beginning in St. Louis and ending in New York City.

Arjun is a retired dentist who is presently working at the University of Amsterdam, teaching and preparing young dentists for their future careers.
