New display series showcasing communities in Greenwood County
The Greenwood County Historical Society has begun a new display series showcasing communities in Greenwood County beginning with the community of Climax. Items in the display include a letter jacket, a basketball uniform, photos and information about buildings in the town of Climax and a feature on the Order of Eastern Star and Bernadine Russell who served as Worthy Grand Matron for the State of Kansas in 1963. Formals that she and her daughter-in-law Hazel Russell, who served as a page for the Grand Chapter meeting in Topeka, are included in the display.
Come into the Greenwood County Historical Society and see this display and many other interesting artifacts and historical items relating to Greenwood County. The museum is open Monday – Friday from 10 – 4.
